I made this github repo a while ago, but recently found yours, Some of this info may be useful to detect the 2 patterns that can be added to images, There's images included in the repo that contains images with and without synthid, "benchmark.png" and "benchmark_withsynthid.png" only has the edge pattern (Seemingly just JPEG compression chroma: 4:2:0 quality: 90 but with other stuff added on top). "baseimage.png" and "synthid.png" has the overlay pattern

Reopening this because I found a couple more examples of images that are identical with the only difference is SynthID being added or removed and added them to the repo from when there was an exploit to add it to any image without needing to re-generate the image
