I didn't take the course, but helped a friend out. And then I decided to put it here. Maybe it will help someone.
The objective is to find a matching person for a DNA sequence. It is done by finding the longest STRs (Short Tandem Repeat) streak in the sequence and then comparing it to a person's STR properties. Here's a link to a video to explain the problem better and maybe try it out yourself!
