The wiki's style formatting may be difficult to read for some users #542

Problem

While the hackmud wiki is appropriately hackmud-styled, with its use of White Rabbit, blue-on-black, scanlines in the background etc. these elements can be difficult for certain users to read. Some examples:

  • Folks with dyslexia who struggle with fonts
  • Visual/color-impaired readers (the wiki notably breaks when you enable Reader View on certain pages)
  • People working in the dark or other environment that does not play nice with blue-on-black

With how information-dense the wiki is, this is troublesome for those users.

Context

We should probably add a toggleable option to adjust the more troublesome elements of the wiki's stylisation with a button on the top bar:

  • Disable the scanline background
  • Change the font to a known dyslexic-friendly/accessible font
  • Possibly a "light mode" toggle independent of the accessibility toggle that makes the wiki be black text on a white background
