Extension request: `gd` on Windows

Not urgent, but wanted to get this on the list.

I don't have a Windows machine, but I have access to a free month of a Windows 365 cloud PC, so I can potentially poke around to do stuff.

(Though I would need some guidance)

Now we have full-feature gd support on Windows. After CI we can merge it. #484
