This PR proposes an enhancement to incorporate supply chain-aware carbon emissions considerations into the system’s operational workflows.

Current implementations primarily focus on emissions tracking and reporting, but do not integrate sustainability metrics into decision-making processes such as procurement and supplier evaluation.

This contribution introduces a conceptual framework to enable:

  • Supplier-level carbon emissions visibility
  • Multi-objective procurement decision support (cost, lead time, carbon impact)
  • Supplier scoring models incorporating sustainability metrics
  • Carbon-aware sourcing and optimization strategies

The objective is to bridge the gap between sustainability reporting and real-world supply chain execution, improving the system’s applicability in production environments.

This proposal is based on practical supply chain planning challenges and aims to support more informed, sustainable operational decisions.

Happy to expand this into a working prototype or contribute implementation details if this direction aligns with the project roadmap.

This is based on real-world supply chain planning challenges, particularly around integrating sustainability metrics into operational decision-making.

Hi, thank you for reviewing this contribution.

My background is in supply chain planning and sustainability in operations, and this contribution is intended to enhance how operational and environmental factors are considered within system workflows.

I would be happy to refine this further or align it more closely with the project's implementation approach based on your feedback.

Please let me know if any adjustments would be helpful.
