based on a cursory poll of users, we have only one still on V1; they may upgrade to the current release and then use the import tool to migrate to V2/SQL backend if there are no objections I'm going to merge this to get rid of this legacy code |

this removes the legacy mongodb migration code and associated tests, docs, etc
I would propose deprecating in next release and then merging this
