If text is selected, and an item is selected from this extension, then the item is appended to the selection, rather than replacing it, as you would expect.

So instead, it should replace the selected text.

That's a decent feature suggestion. I have never thought of this use case, but if you want to PR this, we're happy to take a look and consider merging!

You can run your forked version of this on your machine to test.
