Instructions Needed for Settings

What Happened?

On Debian 12 with Xfce 4.18 I see:

This image shows the Settings option in the program.

The quack sound does work, but the ding sound is not explained nor does it have the same options as the quack sound. Further, the use of the word 'gently' is not explained.

'Allow to start at login' appears to do nothing when 'Set autostart' is selected except to display a notice that states "Request to system sent". Restarts of the OS does not start the program up again, nor is the program location found to add it to the systems autostart list.

I also cannot get it to minimize to the system tray area.

Is there documentation available?

Steps to Reproduce

Start program and go to the Settings.

Expected Behavior

I would expect that the interface would be more self-explanatory, and that the autostart function would work as expected.

The ding sound is up to the desktop environment, as i explained to you in the past. elementary allows to enable or disable it per app, not sure how other apps manage that. But that is up to them.

Yes ok the wording could be more explicit, that the app starts in the background. It would still send reminders, but have no window unless user explicitly wants to open it, by clicking on the icon.

but i am not sure how to communicate that autostart is up to the desktop environment. Apps cannot really check if they have the autostart flag or not, only send requests. There is no other way than communicating a request to the system has been done. Im not sure what more feedback is needed.

There is no tray icon. It isn't intended to minimize to tray area.

I am always amazed at why people create software programs but don't want to support them. Such a fact becomes apparent when they are not welcoming and hospitable to those honestly seeking help.
