Drop Emacs 27 Support #811

Important

We have plans to drop support for Emacs 26 with the first release in August 2026.

Our support policy:

Support Emacs Version · Issue #464 · emacs-php/php-mode

Note

We can release support for older Emacs from the stable branch if needed, but be aware that it is not provided by MELPA.

According to Debian LTS, Debian 11 “Bullseye” (it provides Emacs 27.1) is planned to be supported until August 2026 and Debian 12 “Bookworm” (it provides Emacs 28.1) until June 2028.
