AnimeShin v1.4.5

19 Feb 19:49

Choose a tag to compare

A modern unofficial AniList client for tracking, notifications, and optional community streaming extensions.

⚠️ The app itself does NOT include any built-in streaming services.
Content depends on user-installed extensions.

Platforms: Windows • macOS • Android • iOS (sideload)

What's New

  • Player pop-up notifications are now working on fullscreen mode
  • Add voiceover loading state management and snackbar feedback
  • Fix a bug related to multiple players opening
  • Collection list now updates immediately when you:
    • change progress
    • change status
    • add/remove anime or manga
  • Auto-next now closes the player when there is no next episode.
  • Auto-next now also closes the player if next-episode loading fails.
  • When closing after the last episode, the app now exits fullscreen first, then returns to the watch list page.
  • Player close behavior is more reliable from fullscreen and overlay states.
  • Smarter refresh of collection lists.
  • Smarter player stream routing: local proxy is now used for HLS, while direct streams (like .mp4) open directly.
  • Added one-time playback fallback retry between local proxy and direct modes to reduce module watch failures.
  • HLS settle timeout logic now runs only for HLS/proxy playback, avoiding unnecessary waits on direct files.
  • Added stream transport policy tests (HLS/direct/unknown classification + proxy/fallback behavior).
  • Module watch flow now passes and validates mediaId for playback resume correctness.
  • Desktop startup now enforces single-instance lock and handles window settings lock conflicts safely.
  • Removed Feed from Home navigation and Home Tab defaults (Settings > Defaults > Home Tab).
  • Added Feed button to the user profile button row and reordered buttons to: Activities, Favourites, Feed, Social, Statistics, Reviews.
  • Home navigation updated: Discover and Feed positions were swapped.
  • New installs now open on Discover by default.
  • Discover cards now show a secondary Russian/Shikimori title when Display Russian Titles is enabled.
  • Discover search got a smart fallback: if AniList returns no results on first page, Shikimori title variants are tried automatically.
  • Russian title toggle now applies to already opened Discover results without needing manual refresh.
  • Stability and performance improvements for Discover async updates and title enrichment.
  • Faster startup module handling: extension index now loads immediately from local data without blocking on remote refresh
  • Improved module playback reliability: module streams now start via proxy by default for better HLS/header compatibility (including iOS)
  • Smarter voiceover flow: voiceover detection and first stream probe are combined to avoid duplicate heavy parsing
  • Better slow-source resilience: stream extraction now uses longer, safer timeouts with optional per-module overrides
  • Reduced repeated module work: runtime, executor, search, and settings now share one module loader instance
  • More stable startup updates: remote extension refresh runs in background with per-module timeout and safe loopback skipping
  • Settings consistency improvements: module mutations now properly invalidate shared index/cache state
  • Added regression coverage for loader refresh behavior, remote refresh timeout handling, and voiceover probe logic
  • The Seek steps function now works correctly in fullscreen mode
  • Code fix and improvement

Choose a tag to compare

A modern unofficial AniList client for tracking, notifications, and optional community streaming extensions.

⚠️ The app itself does NOT include any built-in streaming services.
Content depends on user-installed extensions.

Platforms: Windows • macOS • Android • iOS (sideload)

What's New

    • Manga reading support
    • Faster module loading at startup
    • Better stream playback duration detection
    • Improved search using Russian titles
    • Stability improvements on Windows
