LED/sound inop with Pop Up Feature

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Receive SMS with Pop Up Feature On
2.Sometimes LED inop, sometimes sound inop 
3.Sometimes both inop when Pop Up enabled

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expect to see a pop up SMS alert, see LED flash and hear alert sound

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Using ver 1.3.0
Using Kyocera Torque XT running KitKat

Please provide any additional information below.
I have to disable the pop up feature to have the LED and sound alert.
I'd like to have all three.
