Search results in File Tree view occlude Local Changes view

Discovered on Mac OS Catalina, version 2.16

To reproduce:

• Select a commit
• go to the File Tree view
• Search for anything.
• the rectangles that highlight the selected words will appear
• Switch to the Local changes view.
  The rectangles remain on screen.

When switching back to the File Tree view, the rectangles are still there:
