Wiimote Mouse

small collection of config files for moltengamepad(original, unmaintened; fork, recommended), udev rules and systemd services that enable the usage of a wiimote (with motion+ capability) as a media control device with mouse motion control.

51-wiimote-bluetooth.rules

creates a virtual device at /dev/wiimote that is used as dependency for the systemd service wiimote-bluetooth.service

52-wiimote-moltengamepad.rules

starts the wiimote-bluetooth.service whenever a wiimote is connected via bluetooth

both rules should usually be located in:

/etc/udev/rules.d

wiimote-bluetooth.service

runs moltengamepad after a short delay usually located in:

/etc/systemd/system

wiimote_mediacontrol

contains the respective moltengamepad sensor and key bindings for the use as mouse with motion control

/etc/xdg/moltengamepad/profiles/wiimote_mediacontrol

load profiles from wiimote_mediacontrol

Recommendations

• change CALIBRATION_THRESHOLD in wii_events.cpp of the moltengamepad source to 3000 for low calibration time
