Youtube video uploads?

Does this current api allow for youtube video uploads? If so how would I do it, I'm currently playing with the api and source but if there's already a way please share :)

I don't think so, I ended up using the youtube Data API (v3) with rest calls.

Yeah that was one part there was a bit more to it than that though I eventually figured it out, there's parts of the source that aren't handling errors as well so you have to really dig to find the problem.

Ok, there are some places where there's a function(err, other args) but nothing is done with err, there's one in the oauth2client.js file in the request method.

Another place is in request.js, the handleResponse method, I'm not really sure if you need one there or not, since it's returning a wrap.

I think there might be a bug in requests.js generateUploadBody for the uri in the returned request, from my experience rootUrl already has the trailing '/' instead of '/upload' it should be 'upload', otherwise I get // in the uri.

Also the media body is isn't specified at least I didn't see it anywhere what media body is supposed to be, so I have doing two tests with streams and file data. Streams from fs.createReadStream don't work but there's nothing to notify of that, even if you send it in the response you don't get any errors back. A lot of time there was just no response back except [object Object]

Also is there a best practice for uploading large files? Any way to do resumable uploads?

Try uploading videos with the new version 1.0.0 client library. See here for advice on uploading files, especially large ones. There's a new section on using a readable stream that may interest you if you are considering uploading large files.

At this point we still don't support resumable uploads but I'm closing this issue as uploading a video to youtube should be no problem for this library to handle.
