Hi there! Thanks for this PR. This is great. I'm sorry this took so long to review.
Normally, I'd ask for a changelog and docs addition, but since it has been a long time since you submitted this, I feel like that would be an unreasonable request. As a result, I've gone to the liberty of adding them myself: #27313
