@MathewBiddle noticed that the search bar was duplicated in #333. That happened b/c some dependency was update and introduced the bug. I could not figure out which one, likely the pydata-sphinx-theme. To restore the previous known build I used the last working configuration and created a locked pixi environment with it. Things should be OK now:
