• discuss add at least a nominal pyproject.toml in root of repository #783 and whether appropriate for this milestone
• remember to list iRODS AVUs cannot contain arbitrary binary data #707 as resolved, although not notated in commit messages
• tests should be updated to run against a 4.3.5 install
