Remember and Restore a Window's scroll position with Elisp?

With ultra-scroll is it possible to:

• remember a windows scroll position and
• restore a windows scroll position using Elisp?

What do you mean by scroll position? You can restore column position in the latest version; see ultra-scroll-preserve-column.

An Example

Here's a bit of a contrived example, but hopefully, it'll communicate what I'm looking for.

• Using M-x eww, visit https://www.realestate-tokyo.com/rent/monthly-apartments-matsuri-technologies/well-square-ism-ikebukuro-east/ .
• Enable ultra-scroll-mode.
• Scroll down the page a bit until it looks something like the following.

• Notice that the top image is clipped. I did that to setup the example.

What I Want

• With Elisp, can I remember the exact scroll position of this buffer and save it into a variable?
• With Elisp, can I come back to the same buffer and then restore the scrolling position so that the window looks exactly the same as when I saved the scrolling position? The most important part for me is that the top-position be the same. In this example, I want that top image to be clipped in half exactly the same way.

I'm not sure if I'm using the right terminology, but I hope I managed to convey what I'm trying to accomplish.

PS: I will upgrade my ultra-scroll and take a look at ultra-scroll-preserve-column. I don't currently know what that is, but I will find out soon.

I see. This isn't really the functionality of a scrolling package. If you look at the (window-start) and vscroll and restore them exactly you should be able to return to this same layout.

The combination of (window-start) and (window-vscroll) worked. I previously tried to use those individually and was getting really confused.
