Assignments Showing for Classes Student(s) are no longer in on Teams.

There seems to be a bug/issue where the API if fetching classes that the student is no longer in on Teams. Say for instance I had precalc last year, however the class is now archived - the assignments still show up on the extension.

From what I can see the scraped API you use that requests the classes from "https://assignments.onenote.com/api/v1.0/edu/me/classes" returns all classes including the ones which have the status of "archived". You can probably make a check to see if the status of the class is equal to "active". I might do this myself and make a pull request to make it easier for you.
