Fix: scss/css issues

- Why set the font on the html only to override it on the body?
- Include more variables for repeated values like font-sizes. 
- Placeholder styling (For the input) isn't doing anything.
- navigation items are display: inline-block, then floated. The float overrides that and makes them display:block.
- Some floats are not contained (they need clearfixes)
