Minimum changes (no significant cleaning/modifications that can cause some logic break) to introduce PLOT_LOCK.
This has shown to be working with clear pip install DashingTurtle (limited test on LoadBaseCall functionality in GUI).
While doing this, I turned off any formatting on my side to preserve cleaner git history.

fixed important bugs that might introduce weird behaviour down the road in GUI (surprising it didn't surface up so far).
