Write tests to check that image mappings are correctly tidied up when image map commands fail

See #552. A test equivalent to WithCommandQueue.FailedAndCompleteDependencies for images is needed.

Are there more commands with side-effects that need to be cleaned up on failure? Should we introduce a separate mechanism for tidy-up-on-failure?
