Question regarding publishing maven artifact

In README you state

I do not push my version to Maven Central.

I'm just curious, why?

I don't use Maven myself, so I wouldn't know how to push, nor how to test whether it worked. Feel free to do a pull request to show me how. (Or just tell me in this issue.)

I'm not an expert either. Just spent an hour reading up and clicking around on BinTray. Seems like the easiest way is to do the following:

1. Create an account on http://www.bintray.com.
2. Click "Maven" repository.
3. Click "Add new package", set name to "JavaBeanstalkClient" and link to https://github.com/lkesteloot/JavaBeanstalkClient.
4. On BinTray, create a release using the latest version of this client.
5. Execute mvn clean source:jar javadoc:jar package (reference) and upload pom.xml, target/BeanstalkClient-X.X.X-SNAPSHOT-javadoc.jar, target/BeanstalkClient-X.X.X-SNAPSHOT-sources.jar and BeanstalkClient-X.X.X-SNAPSHOT.jar to the version you created on bintray.
6. Optional: Go to https://bintray.com/bintray/jcenter and add your package there.
7. Optional/bonus points: It seems possible to PGP sign packages. Don't really know how, though.
8. Optional: Sync with Maven Central, which is the de facto standard when it comes to Maven since it's a preconfigured repository
9. Update README.md with a link to https://bintray.com/XXX/maven/JavaBeanstalkClient (and jcenter) for Maven repository.

If I would do the above, I would skip the optionals except maybe jcenter.

The alternative to publishing to BinTray would be to go through Maven Central's OSSRH (reference, which would involve multiple steps that could take days.

Doable?

Oh, three more small things:

• I notice that version in pom.xml generally has been set to X.X.X-SNAPSHOT. When executing mvn clean source:jar javadoc:jar package, it should not contain -SNAPSHOT. That is, it should be X.X.X.
• Don't forget to git tag the release for trackability.
• Consider creating an "Organization" on BinTray if you are multiple people that should be allowed to create releases for this project (and/or you'd like me to create releases).

Yet another this; Might be worth considering changing groupId in pom.xml to a domain you control if you don't control the current one.

Okay I'm working on it. I might go the sonatype route, since it seems to be more common (despite having more steps).
