Program not running on the home screen

Replicate

1. From the home screen select edit
2. Create the following program:
   WHEN
   Press > Button A
   DO
   Show number> Magnet value

Result (as expected): When I press A it scrolls the magnet value

3. Go back to the home screen
4. Press A
   Result: It does nothing
   Expected: The code should work outside the edit screen
