Is there a way to generate GraphQL SDL currently or is it something that is on the roadmap that will enable CADL compile to a GraphQL schema?

Cadl was designed to support this use case but the implementation work is still in the backlog. I expect we'll pick this up at some point but priority-wise there are many features ahead of it. So it might be a while until we get to it.

I was really surprised seeing this Cadl provides highly extensible core language primitives that can describe API shapes common among REST, GraphQL, gRPC, and other protocols. as from the docs, but then ended reading this issue 😿.

Really looking forward for GraphQL support at some point in the future. However there is a great set tool built around GraphQL over the years that helps code generations, etc, so would be great to see what Cadl could bring to the table 🔥

Given that there are some outstanding graphql frameworks like Hot Chocolate that support SDL-first, this would be a great addition. @bterlson You removed the help wanted tag -- is this in planning?

GraphQL library/emitter was added in #11000 and released npmjs.org
