No way to tab out of the plain markdown editor

Any idea on how this should work? Especially with code how do you tab out of the editor if the tab is used for indentation?

I thought about using Esc to get the focus moved from the editor, but I don't think this is something used regularly. And then, where the Esc should go? Needs to go to the next focusable element to be useful, but that's just weird.
