Nextcloud 18.01: Sharing a folder by link makes contained videos unplayable in the shared page

When a folder with video in it is shared by public link, the linked page shows the video list, but clicking on a video does not open a player, but a download dialog. 
If the folder is shared with "Hide download" options, nothing happens when clicking on a video.
