Hello,

I believe that is a mistake. A 3.175mm tool can't have a 3mm cutting diameter.

Interesting, why can it not have a 3mm cutting diameter? if the cutting head of the end mill can be 1.5 with a 3.175 shank, shouldn't the ball mill be able to be 3mm with 3.175mm shank? Both are their website, so one is a mistake, but it's unclear to me which one has the mistake

It can. But the tool is 3.175mm in the shank and on the cutting edge. It's the same diameter all the way from end to end.
That's why it can't be 3mm ball in the end.
Maybe they have 2 different tools?
