Infinite redirect loop when clicking “Start using Copilot free” banner

Hello guys,

I'm experiencing an issue that may affect accessibility and user experience.

When my GitHub Copilot subscription expired, I noticed a banner saying "Start using Copilot free". However, when I click on it, I get redirected to this URL:

https://github.com/github-copilot/signup

This immediately enters into an infinite redirect loop between signup and copilot. In the browser's DevTools (Network tab), I can see repeated 302 redirects (screenshot attached).

To try to resolve the issue, I have already:

• Cleared the browser cache and cookies
• Restarted my computer
• Tried multiple browsers (Chrome, Firefox)
• Opened the link in incognito/private mode
• Logged out and back in
• Even tried using a VPN

Unfortunately, nothing has worked — the redirect loop continues and prevents me from using Copilot or accessing the signup page.

Was already using Free, on opening Visual Studio today was logged out. Sign up in extension does not work.

Logged into Github in browser, states "Your GitHub Copilot subscription has ended", attempting to "Start using Copilot Free" results in redirect loop. Different browsers, cleared cache/cookies, same result.

In my case.

• I once signed up for the GitHub Copilot Trial (before the release of Copilot Free)
• I canceled GitHub Copilot Trial
• I started using GitHub Copilot Free when it was released
• I was using GitHub Copilot Free until yesterday, and today it suddenly stopped working

Have been using GitHub Copilot Free for a bit, until this morning when I was signed out (for an unkknow reason) and I get stuck in the sign in loop.
