Student Developer Pack Pending for Months #182168
-
Hi everyone,Hello, my GitHub Student Developer Pack application shows as “pending,” but I submitted it months or a year ago. When I try to access it via https://education.github.com/discount_requests/student_application, it redirects me to the GitHub pricing page. Additionally, when I try to reapply, it redirects me to https://github.com/settings/education/benefits, which shows nothing.

Okay, This is a "non-official" way to actually fix this. Believe it or not, I think the main reason for that the application page goes blank or redirects is because your GitHub billing profile is empty or doesn't match your school ID. Head over to your Settings > Billing and plans. Also if you are on a VPN, maybe that's what causes the issue. |

Hi @69-PEAK, There are no pending applications in your settings, and the "Start an application" button is enabled, which means you can resubmit your application. There was probably a problem with your first submission, so I suggest you try again. Make sure to take a clear photo of your academic transcript and fill in your billing info and GitHub profile with your full name exactly as it appears on your transcript. If you get rejected, log out and log back into GitHub before reapplying, because the application system gets stuck in a loop even after the required information has been updated. You can also submit the application using another device, such as a smartphone or another PC. |

Head over to your Settings > Billing and plans.
Make sure your Full Name there matches your student ID exactly.
You don't need to add a credit card, but fill out the address info. This usually "wakes up" the verification system and stops the redirect loop.
Also if you are on a VPN, maybe that's what causes the issue.
Make sure your school email is not just added, but verified in your GitHub email settings.
