This change ports the Markdown-formatted content in the Notifications app's docs directory to the developer documentation, migrating it to AsciiDoc format in the process. It also enhances the formatting, refines the wording, and makes several other improvements to enhance readability.
It seemed to make most sense to integrate the content into the existing notifications docs (under app/advanced) rather than make it a part of OCS API documentation.

This PR integrates the documentation in the Notifications app with the existing server documentation, as requested in #269.
