Testing of new AndroidSDK updater

Question: can you point me out where the downloads are being stored temporarily for this operation?
ANSWER:
About the temporary directory :

1. Whichever package you are installing, go to that package's folder. For android-22 it would be platforms>>android-22.
2. The above directory will have a install directory which will have a text file called .installData
3. This text file will contain the temp path of installation.
4. Reason why it is like this : The sdk updater uses android sdk manager libraries to do the install rather than manually querying the link and installing. The sdk manager library works by adding the temp path to the text file. The reason it does this is, once the downloading of the zip file is completed, it creates a marker file called .prepareComplete. So in case you cancel the download during the unzipping process, this .prepareComplete marker will help you to realize that a zip file already exists in the path given by the .installData file.

• OS'es involved: Win 10
• Steps: Created a clone copy of current Android SDK folder with an outdated SDK tools and replace it each time a new test was performed. This allows to test the installation of new updates and to reproduce observations.

• Results and additional comments:

1. Currently there is a bug when cancelling the install of a selected platform or when updating a SDK Tool component. Issue reported here: SDK updater: cancel when installing a platfrom DeerajTheepshi/processing-android#26
2. Currently when cancel is clicked, the temporal folders with downloaded content (Zip and extracted folders) are not removed.

• Steps: Created a clone of current Android SDK folder with contained an outdated "SDK tools" and I used this clone copy to replace the AndroidSDK folder each time a new test was performed. This allows to test the installation of new updates and to reproduce observations.
