Bring back curly quotes. Were they willfully removed?

Hi! Curly quotes have been removed from Spectral. They’re no longer in the GitHub master for any of the font files (OTF, WOFF2 etc).

IMO the curly quotes go much better along with the rest of the glyphs. Please at least bring them back as character variants so that they can be accessed via CSS font-feature-settings.

Here’s a Google Docs user complaining about them suddenly disappearing.

Has a mistake caused them to be totally removed?

Coming here to second this; the previous curly quotes and commas look much more harmonic with the rest of the font. In fact, I thought at first I'd not actually use curly quotes bot straight ones, so I investigated whether there's a bug in my publishing pipeline. Interestingly, Substack posts (which use Spectral) don't show this issue, as they've hard-linked v13 of Spectral on Google fonts, which doesn't contain this change yet.
