  • Relates to LGTM has 6 errors  #1275 but does not fix all the issues

  • [ ] New code is fully documented. Includes numpydoc compliant docstrings, examples, and comments where necessary.
  • Pull request is nearly complete and ready for detailed review.
  • Maintainer: Appropriate GitHub Labels and Milestone are assigned to the Pull Request and linked Issue

This addresses 1 of the problems from pvlib#1275; The easiest tbh

the label "easy first problem" was no exaggeration in that case :D
