Get VPN working (selectable in confluence menu).

Just wondered if this is possible, I'm prepared to put in the work if anyone cares to throw out some ideas how we could pull this off.
I gather we need something like this:
openvpn (I have compiled this)..
connman
iptables.
The idea I have is to add the above to the Kodi Boxee project but then we would probably need some sort of script call to integrate it.

Any ideas appreciated, a ping to @cigamit has it might be something he could have some ideas for. Perhaps it would be better to add to Boxee hacks?....

I tried various things and found the only way to get VPN working on the Boxee was to setup a VPN server on my NAS and set the default gateway of the Boxee box to the LAN address of the NAS. The NAS has settings to allow network attached devices to connect through the NAS to the VPN client.
Job done.
