Is there reason to drop old versions? We should keep them until we use new feature or syntax. |

I thought it would simplify the library to remove old versions no longer officially supported, but we can just append the newer versions of Ruby if that's preferred |

do we want to update the ruby version matrix testing to drop support for older versions and include 3.x ?
