why is kanda = 1 in the index?

The index has a 'kanda' field, which is either 1 or 2.
From the first comment above: pp. 226-365 (pdf pages)
A sample pwg reference:

<L>16265<pc>2-0211<k1>kAdambara
<ls>H. an. 4,248.</ls>
349	2	4	245b	259a	124

Note: kAdambara is in verse 248 on this page 349.

Thus it seems that the PWG references make no use of kanda = 1

Why is kanda = 1 in our index for HEMACANDRA'S ANEKĀRTHASAM̃GRAHA?

@IrinaKonstant Thanks. I actually modified your first file by a python program -- I should have mentioned that in my comment above. index.txt is the index we need for ANEKĀRTHASAM̃GRAHA. It is the same as lines in your revised file from page 226 through page 365.

The index.txt and pdf correspond for references from pwg, pw, pwkvn and sch dictionaries. I found no references from mw dictionary to ANEKĀRTHASAM̃GRAHA.
