Poll results differ on different devices (Android/MacOS)

Bug description

The results of a poll are different when viewed on different devices.

We ran a poll in a group and then closed it.
The resulting poll ended up showing as 6/0/1 on one device (Screenshot 1),
but as 5/0/2 on another device (Screenshot 2).

Asking multiple group members with different devices, some see the situation from screenshot 1, however one person sees the results from screenshot 2 on Signal on MacOS.
We could not ask all participants in the poll yet.
So we are not sure, whether this is a problem with Android or the MacOS app; we're reporting it here, since the poll was created and closed on Android, and the majority of people that participated do so on Android.

The differing vote is the vote of the poll creator: On the affected device, they are shown as having voted for "Option 4", on the remaining devices they are shown as having voted for "Yes".

The poll creator did change their vote shortly before closing the poll, which may be relevant information.

Screenshot 1 was taken on Ubuntu with Signal client, but same results also show on some Android devices in the group.

Please don't mind the strange poll answer options (German: Yes/No/Option 4 ; no, there was not Option 3)

Hi, this might be expected. If votes come in after a poll has ended, they are discarded. Can I ask if, on the same account (eg a phone and a linked device), the results were different? I would expect different people in the group to potentially have different results if voting was done right around when it was ended, but the same account on generally the same wifi, should have the same results.

There is indeed one person where the votes are shown differently on different device. It's the person with the Signal client on MacOS where:

• their MacOS client shows 4/0/2 votes
• their Android device shows 5/0/1 votes

(same account for both devices)

Unfortunately this is a situation where we would likely need logs from both the device that placed that closed the poll and the linked device that they had an issue with. As mtang noted, this is likely a race with applying votes to a closed poll. We can try to reproduce, but if we can't, we may have to close without any further info. Thanks!
