Scanned area is not remembered

Every time you open the preview dialog, it forgets the previously selected scan area.
It is tough to adjust the scan area to the desired region because you always need to scan/review/re-define the area again/repeat.
Please feel free to reclassify this as a feature request, but for me, it felt like unexpected behavior, so I filed it as a bug.
