This Wii U plugin allows to connect 2 Wii U gamepads at the same time! It can stream sound and controls.
Back in E3 2012, Nintendo announced that two Wii U gamepads can be connected to the console at the same time. This feature was never released, but it is still in the system files and can be used in homebrew applications. This plugin allows you to play some games with two gamepads!
THIS APP IS IN BETA, expect lots of bugs.
• Pair the Wii U gamepads
• Turn the plugin on and off
• Switch controller mode between mirrored (acts as the same controller for both Wii U gamepads) and Separate (The second gamepad pretends to be a Wii U pro controller)
• Reload Wii U button to easily connect both of the gamepads
• Press left stick and right stick together to change the controller mode between Seperate and Mirrored.
You can get it directly from the Homebrew app store.
Or you can download the zip from https://github.com/tech-will/Dual-U/releases/tag/Official-Release and extract to the root of your Wii U SD card.
To pair, first go into the pairing options menu by going into the Aroma Plugin Menu and select Dual U. Then click on pair and it should say pairing under pairing status. There is a time out of 120 seconds so you don't get stuck. Once paired, it should work but if it doesn't, restart the console. You don't have to do this again
To turn the plugin on, go into the Dual U plugin in the Aroma Plugin Menu and set Plugin Enabled to On. Then press Reload Console. Then both of the gamepads should connect. If it doesn't, restart the console.
Turning the console off will disable the plugin. If this doesn't happen, try restarting the console and it should work.
The "Performance Mode" toggle causes the second gamepad to disconnect under normal use. To fix this, keep the second gamepad in the Quick Start menu which somehow controls the Wii U.
• Blocks the Aroma Plugin Menu opening on the home menu but not in games.
• Requires restarts multiple times to turn the plugin off
• In some games, the Seperate controller function doesn't work
• Video ether doesn't work or is glitched out
• Slows down the console a lot
