This is PO-EMO, a corpus of German and English poetry, annotated on line level with aesthetic emotions.
Repository is continuously being updated.
- 48 gold annotated German poems in XML format are given in XMLGold
- 110 German poems and 64 English poems annotated by two annotators are given in tsv in tab separated format
- All 158 German poems with emotion and prosody annotation in tsv
- Sample code is provided in code
- Our annotation guidelines can be found in annotationGuidelines
- We had one (female) native Chinese speaker annotate 30 classical and 30 modern Chinese poems according to the label scheme of PO-EMO
- The links to the data are here: 30 modern, 30 classical
- Before doing so, we had the annotator "train" on batches of 5-8 English poems until acceptable agreement was finally reached (see details: here and here)
- Subsequently, the annotator annotated further 15 modern and 15 classical poems.
