Wiki links syntax support

Supporting [[Some Note]] syntax to link to a note called Some Note would bring Folio one step closer to be able to replace tools like Obsidian (and even bring compatibility with their implementation).

I'm not sure if this would be out of scope tho.

It's not part of the markdown spec and you can already link to other notes using the url syntax, so certainly not a high priority item.

I thought about this feature too. But the missing link is not really the additional syntax. File link syntax is completely sufficient imho.

What would be a speed-up (like in a Wiki) is if Folio offered to create a new note if the link is a relative link inside Folio's note directory.

Lets assume you type

[Details](details.md)

Folio could interpret that as a potentially missing note in the same folder and offer to create it on the fly.

I don't think that would be a good UI, it would create a lot of false positives due to typo's etc and only save a single click anyway in the best case scenario.

Good point. Maybe an offer to create the file instead of creating it right away then?

The JetBrains IDEs handle it that way. If you click a local link that does not have a file associated, they offer to create it in the quick-fix.
