Can´t seem to put it to work

I Followed your README but i can´t put it to work.

I have an ASUS N53JQ

Describe exactly what you expected, what you did and what showed on screen when trying to boot Splashtop OS.

Installed Windows 10 x64 MBR version, which created 2 partitions sda1 & sda2

Installed Ubuntu and choose 'Something else' from the Installation Type selection, I created 2 new partitions:
/dev/sda5 ext4 / (Logical Partition)
/dev/sda6 swap (Logical Partition)

Next I set /dev/sda5 as 'Device for boot loader installation' and let the Ubuntu installer run to completion. Upon restart, the system booted into Windows 10 directly.

I downloaded http://trya.alwaysdata.net/stboot/stboot-0.2.1.tar.gz

Next I boot from the Ubuntu USB and did "dd if=/dev/sda5 of=1st_sect.bin bs=512 count=1"

overwrote bootsect.bin with 1st_sect.bin and installed yasm and "yasm -o CEFULL stboot.asm"

then to my C drive:

│ └CEFULL (our own boot loader)

└─splash.idx (shows CEFULL location)

Tried with both UEFI and AHCI enabled and disabled in the BIOS Settings.
What am I doing wrong?
Does it work with Windows 10 UEFI?

Every step you did seems right to me.

What I can say is that stboot can only work in legacy BIOS mode currently. The AHCI setting may not have any importance at all. If your specific version of Express Gate forces booting in UEFI mode, there is not much I can do.

If no error is shown, then it means CEFULL is correctly loaded by Express Gate, but the PC reboots because of some fatal error while executing CEFULL. Apart from doing hardware debugging, it will be very hard to know why it doesn't work.

Last thing, can you show your splash.idx for completion? (even if I suppose it's correct)

also i reinstalled ubuntu and changed root directory to /dev/sdb2 ext4

Okay, I see the problem: the 512 bytes you extracted from /dev/sda5 and included in CEFULL are all zeroes, there's no bootloader code in here.
Redump the first sector of the Ubuntu boot partition and check the resulting file with a hex editor: a valid boot sector should end with the bytes 0x55 0xAA. Otherwise, your Ubuntu bootloader is not installed correctly and you might consider using another bootloader: I advise syslinux, which I tested stboot 0.2.1 with and which is far simpler than GRUB2.
You could also try stboot 0.1.1, which contains a root example with GRUB4DOS included, so you don't have to rely on Ubuntu's bootloader.
