The .gitignore just contains the defaults for a Python environment which I was using. If anyone else is using one, it could save up to 10 or 20 seconds!
It's certainly not necessary; I just added it automatically.

Spatial indices for the Canadian Hydrographic Service Non-Navigational (NONNA) Bathymetric Data 10m data set.
There are two files:
north-america/canada_nonna_p10_packages.geojson: indices for the "packages" which are .zip files containing .tiff files for each predefined package area
north-america/canada_nonna_p10_files.geojson: indices for each .tiff file, more analagous to a traditional index map. Download links, however, still go to the package zip.
