Challenges: Diagnosing depressive disorders can be difficult when relying on the memory and timeline for diagnosis:
- depression = 2 or more weeks
- mania = 1 weeks
- dysthymia = 18-24 months hypo depression
- bipolar l and bipolar ll = 2 weeks depression 1 week manic phases and 2 weeks depression hypomania 4 days
Daily Emoji is an app that asks people to self rate their emotion/mood, adds descriptive features for better recall.
The features:
- users are able to self-rate using mood ratings, emojis and notes
- history of all past self ratings
- sends push notification to remind users to rate their mood.
- graphs to display mood pattern
