Unimplemented Component: <WebGPUView> in example app

Issue

When I try to use WebGPU + ThreeJS, I keep getting this "Unimplemented Component: " error. Even When I build the example app, I'm still having this issue.

Steps to reproduce

1. npx create-expo-app@latest -e with-webgpu
2. Open the xcworkspace and build the app

I never managed to get this to work, I tried the expo template and to install it manually too, but nothing ever worked. I also created an issue:

@PaRoxUs This looks to be a separate issue.
@ConnorLee @Tino-F For this to work, you need to perform the iOS native build. React Native WebGPU is not shipped part of Expo Go yet. I hope this helps and let me know if you have any issues running the template.

@wcandillon I was able to finally fix this issue (with significant help from opus 4.5), I dropped a summary of the fix below.

Root Cause:
There's a typo in package.json's codegenConfig. The property componentProviders (plural) should be componentProvider (singular) to match React Native's expected schema.

Current (broken):

"ios": {
  "componentProviders": {
    "WebGPUView": "WebGPUView"
  }
}

Should be:

"ios": {
  "componentProvider": {
    "WebGPUView": "WebGPUView"
  }
}

Workaround:
Until this is fixed upstream, you can patch it manually:

sed -i '' 's/"componentProviders"/"componentProvider"/g' node_modules/react-native-wgpu/package.json

Then run a clean prebuild:

rm -rf ios/Pods ios/Podfile.lock ios/build
npx expo prebuild --clean

This causes WebGPUView to be included in the generated RCTThirdPartyComponentsProvider.mm, which registers it as a Fabric component.

Environment:

• react-native-wgpu: 0.5.1
• Expo SDK: 54
• React Native: 0.81.5
• New Architecture: enabled
