Encryption Key can't be generated

I added the environment variable APP_DB_ENCRYPTION_KEY=
and run php artisan encryptable-fields:key-generate but still no key is added to the variable..

and when i refresh the application, i got this error message

Illuminate \Encryption \ MissingAppKeyException
PHP 8.1.6
Laravel 9.22.0
No application encryption key has been specified.

Any help will be highly appreciated

Do you have a success message?

> php artisan encryptable-fields:key-generate
Application key set successfully.

Waiting for a solution: you can use php artisan encryptable-fields:key-generate --show and copy/paste value manually in you .env file
