You can solve the problem with composer self-update

when i update composer , its says
You are already using composer version 6d1ebba75e99b8c714112bc85e96591ee0fdf0b4.

and then i tried to install writesdown again , same above errors occurs.

sudo /usr/bin/composer self-update : works
/usr/bin/composer self-update : didn't work (even i'm the root user)

composer self-update
composer clear-cache
