NeuralShield-AI is a production-grade AI safety and security defense framework designed to detect, prevent, and mitigate threats targeting AI and LLM systems — including prompt injection attacks, jailbreak attempts, hallucinations, data poisoning, adversarial inputs, and model misuse. Built as a comprehensive 7-layer defense-in-depth monitoring system, NeuralShield-AI provides real-time threat detection, automated response orchestration, and MITRE ATT&CK for AI threat mapping.
This framework implements hundreds of specialized security modules covering threat intelligence, anomaly detection, IOC aggregation, semantic analysis, false positive reduction, incident response automation, and MITRE ATT&CK framework coverage. It is designed for AI deployment teams, security operations centers (SOC), and researchers building safe, aligned AI systems.
Disclaimer: NeuralShield-AI is a research-grade safety tool. AI safety is an unsolved problem; no monitoring system can guarantee 100% detection. This tool should be used as part of a comprehensive AI safety strategy, not as a standalone solution. See Safety Considerations.

AI safety is an active area of research with no perfect solutions:
- False Sense of Security: No AI safety monitor can catch all adversarial inputs. Adversaries continuously evolve their techniques. Assume breaches are possible and design for containment.
- Adversarial Adaptation: Attackers will adapt to bypass detection. The continuous learning pipeline and signature auto-generation help, but cannot eliminate this risk.
- False Positives/Negatives: All detection systems produce false results. Tune thresholds for your use case and maintain human-in-the-loop review for high-severity incidents.
- Model-Specific Behavior: Detection thresholds calibrated for one model may not work for others. Test extensively with your specific model deployments.
- Privacy Concerns: Monitoring AI inputs/outputs may capture sensitive user data. Implement appropriate data handling, retention, and anonymization policies compliant with GDPR, CCPA, and other regulations.
- Not a Replacement for Alignment: Safety monitoring supplements but does not replace model alignment, red-teaming, and constitutional AI approaches.
- Bias in Detection: ML-based detectors may exhibit bias against certain dialects, languages, or topics. Audit for fairness regularly.
- Supply Chain Security: NeuralShield-AI itself is software that could be compromised. Verify integrity and run in isolated environments when possible.
