Announcement: Relicense contributions to MIT

Hi everyone,

We are relicensing the SmartTube project from GPL to MIT to simplify maintenance, distribution, and better reflect the current development model.

Most development now happens directly in this repository, with very limited external code contributions. Because of this, a permissive license like MIT better matches how the project is actually used and maintained today.

If you have contributed code to this project, please confirm your agreement to relicense your contributions under the MIT License by replying to this announcement.

Notes:

• Only code contributions need confirmation. Third-party translations and string resources are not required to be relicensed, but contributors may optionally confirm if they wish.
• If a contributor does not respond or no longer wishes to relicense their code, those contributions can be removed from the repository.

I suggest adding a pull request template that would include some kind of legal text.

Maybe even text describing the contribution as public domain. I am no lawyer but such text might permit re-licensing of contributions in case another re-licensing would happen later.
